Due to a fast and speedy lifestyle and to achieve more in a short span, we instinctively start overlooking the basic habits i.e. food habits, sleep habits, etc. And with increasing lifestyle chronic diseases, to know about basic food habits is important.

How well do you know about basic food habits? – Restore health.

As we grow up and as we are being served assuredly on our plates without us putting in any efforts in selecting, cleaning, cooking or making food out of ingredients, we fail to appreciate the process and efforts undertaken in getting food on our plates and thus start taking our food and food habits for granted. 

Food is to be savored by all our senses, its texture felt by eating with our washed hands, its beauty felt by sighting with our gifted vision, its aroma felt by inhaling through our olfactory nerves; stimulation and activation of our senses connect our food to our inner higher center in the brain which stimulates it to release digestive juices, only then can our food convert itself into energy that nourishes us completely. Ignoring our food habits and hogging our food in order to just satisfy our instinct without reasoning is a major cause of health issues. 

  • Shouldn’t we be selective about what we munch in?
  • Doesn’t it deserve our full attention that is often shared by your upgrading gadgets?
  • Shouldn’t it be treated supremely by cooking it freshly, then packing it for days in chemical preservatives, adding artificial flavors which destroys essential micro-nutrients?
  • Should we be still ignorant even after knowing that food is the only source of energy for our cells?
